To see all available lists, on the Home page under Title & List Management, click List Management.
A List is made up of items you have added from the Search Results. See Searching for Books and Quizzes for information on searching. You can use Lists to create orders, to list the books or quizzes you have, or to create reading lists for students. You can also choose to make your lists (Teacher Lists) available in AR BookFinder—the Web-based search tool parents can use to search for Accelerated Reader book titles that are appropriate for their children.
Changing the Order of a List
When you click on the column headings in your list, you can re-order the list by what is shown in the column title. For example, the lists are normally alphabetized by List Name; clicking List Name reverses alphabetical order. If you click on Title Count, the list will be ordered by Title Count in ascending order. Clicking again will change it to descending order. Clicking Last Edited, orders the list starting with the earliest and ending with the latest date; click again to reverse the order. Click Creator (or Comment) to arrange Quizzes alphabetically by Creator's last name (or Comment); click again to reverse the order.
Creating a List and Adding Titles
To create a list from the Search Results, click Create List.
In the List Name blank field, type the name of your list. You can enter additional information in the Comment blank field if you choose (no more than 90 characters). Check the Create Teacher List box if you'd like the list you're going to create to be available in AR BookFinder. Click Save. Your new list becomes the Active List under the Lists tab.
To go back to your Search Results, click Search. To add individual books, click the check box under Select in front of each book title. Click Show More Details above the book titles for some additional information on each book; clicking Show Fewer Details reduces detail listed. For detailed book information click on the book title or the book jacket, if Show More Details was clicked.
Click Add Selected Titles to List. The rows of titles added to your list turn blue with a blue star appearing in the On List column.
If you want to add all the books listed on this page of your search to your list click Add All Results to List at the top right side of the results.
To view your list and review the titles you have added, click View List. Your Active List page appears where you can see all the titles you just added.
Click Legend to see an definition of the Quiz Type symbols that appear in your list.
Editing and Deleting a List
On your Active List page, click Rename if you need to edit the name or comment for your list.
To delete your list, click Delete. Note: You can view anyone's list, but you can only delete lists that you created.
To see the complete Book Details, click the book title. The Book Details page opens. You can click Print Book Details to print book information. Click Remove from Active List to remove a book from the Active List.
Click Search to add titles to search for items to add to this list.
Click Order Quizzes to order items on your list. See Order Lists and Quizzes.
Click Export to export your list. See Exporting.
After Reports, click Book List or Book Labels to print your Book List Report or Book Labels Report. See Reports.
